Introduction
Class of 2013
Major: Electrical Engineering
Minor: Mathematics

Extra Curricular Activities:   Peer Mentor Program, Stevens IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers), Secretary for ECE (Electrical & Computer Engineering) Student Council, Photo Editor for The Stute

Advice You’d Like to Share with the Class of 2013:   “Whatever you do, find a good way to balance what you do in college. It is really a great experience, so take advantage of all the opportunities you have. Get involved in extracurricular activities, but don’t take on too much. Keep everything you do in check! Enjoy your college experience, but don’t forget about your schoolwork.”

My Best Study Tip:   “See if your professors offer copies of previous exams that you can use to prepare for your tests. Many professors use combinations of previous exam questions. If your exams are cumulative, you can use quizzes that you’ve already taken to study for upcoming ones. Also, don’t ever be afraid to ask questions in class or visit your professors and TA’s (teaching assistants) during their office hours. If you don’t understand something, ASK! As teachers, their job is to help you learn.”

My Time Management Strategy:   “Find a good balance between study and extracurriculars. Of course your top priority should be your schoolwork, but don’t spend all of your time studying. Get involved in clubs, sports, and other activities, but don’t get too involved that it gets in the way with your schoolwork. That’s how I’ve managed to keep my grades up but still get involved in several other activities.”

Resources at Stevens I’ve Used:   Co-Op Office, review sessions, Academic Support Center, faculty advisors, professors & upperclassmen

What I Like Best About Stevens:  “The diversity of people I’ve met on campus, and the way that I feel that I – and really anyone – can find where they fit in at Stevens. Also, the Co-Op Program is something that I think everyone should be involved in, because of the experience you can get out of it; and of course, the great academic reputation that Stevens has and the amazing faculty and staff at Stevens.”
