Take your time experiencing what Stevens has to offer to help you prepare for your career. The Cooperative Education program is one of the reasons I chose to come to Stevens, and I personally have taken full advantage of the program. I have developed career contacts, have gained meaningful experience, and am now graduating with a resume full of valuable work experience.” My Best Study Tip: “For all of your classes, review the homework a second time before handing it in. This way you can make sure you understand material, are prepared for any quizzes, and pick up on any mistakes before handing it in thus improving your grade.” My Time Management Strategy: “Don’t wait until last minute to do your homework. Try to at least start the assignment when it’s assigned, and you’ll often find that you’re able to just finish it! Also, do not get overwhelmed – make a to-do list and consider one assignment at a time. Don’t panic looking at the “big picture,” and you’ll feel better scratching individual items off the list as you make progress.” Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: The Cooperative Education Office, my Advisor, the Student Health Center, the Gym, and the Library. What I Like Best About Stevens: “I love the Cooperative Education program. I already have a resume before I’ve even graduated and I have also gained valuable hands-on experience that not only aids me in the classroom, but also makes me a strong candidate for a job position in many companies. I also love the small campus and small class sizes – they make for a much better and more personal learning experience. And, you can’t beat the location of Stevens – use New York as a resource.” |
