Introduction
Class of 2010
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Masters: Mechanical Engineering

Extra Curricular Activities:  Cooperative Education (Co-op), Peer Mentor, Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) president, Habitat for Humanity, Chess, Christian Fellowship, National Society of Black Engineers, Outdoor Adventures.

Advice You’d Like to Share with the Class of 2013:  “Get to know your professors. They enjoy seeing students interested in the subject. It’s also the difference between an A and A- or job and no job when they know you personally and not just as the kid with blond hair. Make an effort to know what resources are available to students. You’d be surprised at the things you are able to do.”

My Best Study Tip:  “Make sure you go for all the reviews!! And use the tutors who are available for free from the academic support center.” My

Time Management Strategy:  “One thing I always try to do is attend class and pay close attention during lecture. With that I reduce my study time by a lot as I can just skim through my notes as I already know the basics from lecture.”

Resources at Stevens I’ve Used:

  • The library. Find out about library services like article finders and link solver. It has some useful resources especially as you go higher up and most of the articles that you’ll need are journals.
  • Jacobus. It’s actually a very relaxing place to chill with your friends and unwind.
  • Gym. Keeping fit is a cool way to keep your balance and feel good about yourself.

What Do I Like Best About Stevens:  “I like the fact that you’ll be give support with anything you’re interested. There are lots of on campus activities and if they do not cater to what you want, you can start your own club and even get a budget for it.”
