Many opportunities will come your way at Stevens, so be sure to take advantage of all the great resources this school has to offer.” My Best Study Tip: “My best study tip would be for Math, Physics, and Chemistry, and that would be to keep practicing problems. That is the only way the material will stick in one’s head. On the exam you may be pressed for time and need to know what approach to take, which comes from practice. In the end practice makes perfect. My Time Management Strategy: “At Stevens there is a rigorous curriculum and time must be dedicated to each and every subject. I know that at the start of each week, I write a big to-do list of everything I have to accomplish and hand in. This way I set a limit of 2-3 things to do each day. This way you can plan your week out and make time for your friends and Hoboken!” Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Stevens has ample resources and many people willing to help. In the Howe Center, you have the Offices of Student Life and Undergraduate Academics where you can meet with a Dean to discuss certain issues. The library is three stories and loaded with a myriad of resources. Plus, every student is assigned an advisor, who you can go to, to plan your study plan or help you get on the correct path. Then there are tutors who are waiting and willing to help students in certain areas. What I Like Best About Stevens: “Stevens is a wonderful community in an ideal location. It is a challenging school that prepares students for the real world. Stevens’ students are able to interact with each other and make the campus a place where “everybody knows your name.” It is a great campus because not only is it beautiful, but there is always something going on.” |
