| Class of 2011Major: Business and Technology Extra Curricular Activities: Omicron Pi Sorority, Orientation Leader ’09, Phi Beta Lambda, I also work for Brown Shoe Company in Staten Island, NY. Advice You’d Like to Share with the Class of 2013: “Work hard, but play hard at the same time. Your studies should be a top priority, and your diligent work in the past four years is what has gotten you to Stevens. However, it is so important to get involved and become connected with the campus around you. Also, don’t forget to enjoy yourselves and embrace this experience! These next four years should be years to remember in the most positive of ways.” My Best Study Tip: “Make a list of little things that may distract you (eating, television, etc.) during your studying. Every hour, take a small break and do one thing on the list, and then return to studying.” My Time Management Strategy: “Write down everything! From homework you have to complete to club meetings to personal business, writing it all down gives you a clear view of what you have to do and when it’s due. Professors make syllabi for a reason, so use them! Invest in a planner and write down when everything is due so you have a clear view of what you need to tackle first.” Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Computer Service Center, Stevens Library, Stevens Tutoring, Commuter Parking, Pierce Dining Hall What I Best About Stevens: Proximity to Manhattan and surrounding metro area Close-knit campus; many different students that share common goals Small class sizes Array of clubs and organizations to join |
