Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: Don’t be afraid to ask professors, TAs, or other students for help if you are struggling with a subject.
MY BEST STUDY TIP: Look over the old Chemistry tests a day or two before the test. For math, go to your professor’s or TA’s open office hours and ask for help if you are struggling with a topic. For physics, do the practice questions on Mastering Physics and go to the Physics Help Center if you need help.
My Time Management Strategy: Every Sunday, the Student Life Newsletter is emailed to every undergraduate student. It lists clubs’ meeting times and locations, as well as fun activities and events on campus. In addition, professors list exam dates on their course syllabus. Make a note of these dates, and use the Student Life Newsletter to plan which meetings and activities to attend so that there is enough time to study as well as attend student activities.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Peer tutors, Walk-In Tutoring Center, professors’ open office hours
