Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: You don’t want to look back at your college career and realize that there were a lot of things you wanted to do but never got around to. Think about the things you’d really like to accomplish, whether that is staying involved in a favorite activity like orchestra or community service, or even staying up all night just to watch the sun rise over New York City. Don’t forget to look out for opportunities to do all these things you want.
MY BEST STUDY TIP: Make sure you have at least one friend in each class that you can call at 11am for help on homework or to study with; preferably, this friend should be just as dedicated and smart as you are. Additionally, it is important to be honest with yourself. If you work best in silence, then don’t join a study group full of people who take frequent breaks to chat.
My Time Management Strategy: My favorite time management tool is Google calendar. You can color code all your events so it is easy to visualize when you have class, when homework is due, and when there is an event with free food. You can also share calendars with other people who help with group projects or keeping track of clubs events.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Co-op office, study abroad program, tutor, review sessions.
What Do You Like Best About Stevens? This may sound lazy, but one of my favorite things about Stevens is that it's never taken me more than 8 minutes to get to class. Discounting classes on the 3rd or 4th floor, it's more like 5-6 minutes tops.
