Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: The best thing you can do at Stevens is get involved as early as possible. This will help you meet new people, especially those with common interests, that are in your grade but also upperclassmen and you will soon feel connected to the Stevens community.
MY BEST STUDY TIP: Review and study as many practice problems as you can, from lectures notes, the textbook and past exams. Learn how to do these, try them without looking at the solution first, and you will ready for the actual test.
My Time Management Strategy: Time management is simple: sit down and figure out everything you need and want to get done. Then, prioritize all these things and plan when you will do each one. Finally, it is important to keep the overall plan in mind as you accomplish each task.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Tutoring, online databases, books at the library, the help of my fraternity brothers, office hours with a professor, school-sponsored reviews, fraternity-sponsored reviews, professor’s websites and www.stevens.edu/shpc.
What Do You Like Best About Stevens? My favorite part of Stevens is the people. This is why it is so important to get involved, attend events on campus, and be outgoing in your dorm. The people around you at Stevens are what make the next four or five years the best time of your life!
