Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: Get involved in extracurricular activities early on! Getting involved in student life allows you to meet many other students with similar interests and participating in hosted events relieves you from academic stress. Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Getting to know your professors at a personal level will help you succeed academically, and will allow you to see another side of them. They may seem strict or intimidating during class, but by going to ask for help during office hours or scheduling meetings with them before and after tests, they will get to know you and will realize that you really want to do well in their course. You will learn to appreciate what they do, and you will even feel guilty if you miss their class one day.
My Time Management Strategy: Whenever possible, try to complete assignments in the order in which they are assigned, even if one assignment is due before another. This will reduce the amount of assignments for which you procrastinate because you’ll have already got most of them out of the way even before the due date, in order to finally get to the assignment of most urgency.

What Do You Like Best About Stevens? I love that everyone is part of one big family, and it shows. Although everyone is involved in different activities and organizations throughout campus, everyone is intertwined in some way. All the student organizations support one another, attend each others’ events, and sometimes even cohost events to achieve the maximum success. Not only are there hundreds of opportunities to meet people and have a good time doing activities that you enjoy, but you feel comfortable expressing new ideas and opinions, because you know that you’ll always be supported by your Stevens family.
