Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: Take classes you love or are interested in, don’t take it purely because someone tells you to take it because it’s easy or required. Otherwise, you might end up hating it and will miss out on opportunities to learn different perspectives and fields.
MY BEST STUDY TIP: Keep track of projects and homework and their due dates and set up a schedule of when you want them done by and do it. Don’t let yourself stray from it or you will become overwhelmed by it.
My Time Management Strategy: I made a list of all the things I had to do and when they were due and prioritized them and made time to complete each assignment.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Teachers’ office hours. Teachers are a great help, even if it’s scary to go up to them for advice on a paper or project. They’re the one who assigned the work so it’s best to get their input or opinion on your ideas.
What Do You Like Best About Stevens? I like how much I am able to plan out my own schedule and classes. As a humanities major interested in science, it is nice to see the interaction and combination of science, humanities and the social sciences.
