Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: I would advise the incoming class to get involved on campus, to learn time management strategies, and to take advantage of the numerous academic support programs available such as review sessions and tutoring.
MY BEST STUDY TIP: Attending review sessions hosted by the Academic Support Center, reviewing notes and examples from lectures and recitations, and, then, completing old exams.
My Time Management Strategy: Use a planner/calendar to keep track of all assignments, exams, and events, prioritize assignments, and take advantage of free time when it is available.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Academic Support Center Review Sessions, Tutoring Service, Teaching Assistant’s Office Hours, and Kappa Sigma’s Review Sessions
What Do You Like Best About Stevens?
The size of the student body and the proximity of all of the academic buildings provide a sense of community which I enjoy most about Stevens. In addition, I appreciate that Stevens offers opportunities as early as freshman year to prepare students for a career after graduation.
