Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: Ask questions. Make friends. Try to get to know everyone. Join clubs and activities. And most importantly, have fun!
MY BEST STUDY TIP: For math, try to do as many practice problems as possible to prepare yourselves. For humanities, get help from the Writing Center for your essays. For science, read all the chapters and make index cards for vocabulary. These tips will help a lot and go a long way in being successful in classes.
My Time Management Strategy: Always make a schedule. I usually make a schedule every Sunday for the whole week to include what classes I have, events I have to attend, appointments I have, homework time, extra study time, work-study, gym time, etc. Making a schedule keeps me on track and it is one of the best ways to stay focused. Also, don’t procrastinate. It’s very hard to get an A if you have to write 2 essays, finish 3 question sets, and study for a quiz the day before it’s all due.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Library resources for research paper, Writing Center for essays, Tutoring Center to understand concepts, and Google for everything!
