Advice you’d like to share with the Incoming Class: Don’t be afraid to talk to upperclassmen! They WANT to talk with you too, really!
MY BEST STUDY TIP: For Chemistry, bring your textbook to lecture and take notes in the margins instead of a notebook. Always have a highlighter to focus on key concepts and vocabulary.
My Time Management Strategy: Keep a detailed calendar of all of your activities. I use Google Calendar and I don’t know how I could survive without it! It takes time to create and manage, but it definitely pays off in the end.
Resources at Stevens I’ve Used: Tutoring Center, advisors (co-op, career development, and academic), upperclassmen’s wisdom, my Orientation Leaders, professors
What Do You Like Best About Stevens? I love the technical environment. Everyone is focused on advancing their career and learning as much as they can. It’s common to hear of amazing student-run research or new patents being filed. There is definitely an engineering mindset on campus and I can’t imagine school without it.
