University of Dundee - 2009/10 Academic Year The program that allows approximately three Stevens students to study at the University of Dundee for a term or for an academic year. Because of the nature of the exchange, the academic and financial benefits to participating students are remarkable. Transfer Credit: Students participating can arrange for transfer credit for the academic work at the University of Dundee. Faculty approval is necessary. Expenses: Expenses for study abroad are similar to the cost of the academic year at Stevens. Because of the nature of the exchange, Stevens students are registered at Stevens while attending Dundee, and students pay Stevens tuition. Thus, a student participating in this program will be eligible for a Stevens financial aid package that is comparable to one a student would receive if he or she were attending the Stevens campus. Students will be responsible for room and board. One major category of additional expenses, however, is the cost of travel to/from Scotland. Semester Dates: Fall Term: September 14 – December 18, 2009 Spring Term: January 19 – May 29, 2009
Eligibility: Typically up to three Stevens students are selected to participate in the program. In order to apply, students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Additionally, eligible students should be approaching their junior year (for four-year students) or their third or fourth year (for Co-op or five-year students). To Apply: A student should submit a one-page application stating why that student should be selected to participate in the exchange program. Applications (and any questions) should be directed to Dean Erol Cesmebasi, Howe Center 5th Floor, 201-216-5576, ecesmeba@stevens.edu. The one-page application is due by October 15, 2008 for spring 2008 or by February 27, 2009 for 2009/10 academic year.
