Marjorie H. Everitt named VP for Development & University Communications at Stevens Institute of Technology

New VP has extensive senior fund-raising and campaign experience

HOBOKEN, N.J. — Stevens Institute of Technology President Harold J. Raveche today announced the appointment of Marjorie H. Everitt, Associate Vice President for Development and External Affairs, to the position of Vice President for Development and University Communications. She had also served as Acting Vice President following the recent retirement of James N. Snyder. The national search was conducted by Korn-Ferry International.

“On behalf of the Institute, I have the privilege of expressing support for the great accomplishments of Vice President Everitt and the Office of Development and University Communications, and look forward to much success in the years ahead,” said President Raveche in making his announcement.

Everitt, an alumna of Smith College, has extensive experience in senior fund-raising roles, which positions her strongly to lead the Institute’s resource development and communication activities.

Everitt will focus on preparing the Institute for a major endowment-building initiative. Planning is under way to implement measures for increasing annual and major gifts as well as identifying new prospects and new donors. Expanding communications efforts to alumni and others will be a significant part of the early efforts toward the next Stevens campaign, in addition to working cooperatively with the Stevens Alumni Association. These initiatives will involve Trustees, faculty, and academic and administration leadership, as well as students.
