HOBOKEN , N.J. — The Department of Art, Music & Technology at Stevens Institute of Technology is hosting a Media Industry Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the Babbio Center , room 104. Leading the forum will be Scott Hull, a world-class mastering engineer for multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artists such as Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer and Nelly Furtado. Hull also mastered the CD from Stevens Multimedia, Castle Point Record’s “Delusions of Grandeur.” The event is free and open to the public.
The forum will be addressing the field of audio mastering, which is the final procedure in the recording process before a project goes to press. “Record producers and record companies depend on the ‘golden ears’ of highly trained and experienced engineers such as Hull, to make sure that the final product is well balanced and industry matched as possible,” said David Musial, Director of Stevens’ Music and Technology Department.
