John J. Dalton, FHFMA, joins BESLER consulting

Stevens alumnus is a revenue cycle expert, healthcare financial expert and author

HOBOKEN , N.J. — Stevens Institute of Technology alumnus John J. Dalton, Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), has joined BESLER Consulting, a leading financial and operational consultancy to healthcare providers.

Phil Besler, president and chief executive officer of the consulting firm, made the announcement this week. Besler said Dalton 's expertise in revenue cycle management, paired with his reputation for producing measurable results, will be a great asset to the firm’s clientele.

“Mr. Dalton is a nationally recognized expert on hospital revenue cycle operations and in particular uncompensated care issues,” said Besler. “His expertise and depth of knowledge will enable BESLER Consulting to enhance its services to our clients with solutions that address the myriad of challenges faced by our clients in attempting to ensure a steady cash flow and minimal claims denials.”

Dalton , a healthcare financial expert and author, brings more than 30 years of industry experience to BESLER Consulting. He is an Advanced Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and has met its strict certification requirements. Dalton was the 2001 recipient of the HFMA’s prestigious Frederick C. Morgan Award for lifetime achievement in healthcare finance. He is active as both a speaker and author on financial and operational management issues. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stevens and a master’s degree in Business Administration for the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School in Chicago .
