HOBOKEN,
N.J. — Dr. Audrey Curtis, Director of Graduate
Programs in Telecommunications Management at Stevens
Institute of Technology’s Howe School, will chair
an expert panel discussion this Wednesday at the Harvard
Club in New York. The topic up for examination will
be “The Future of Wireless – Strategic
Implications for Global Organizations.” Hosted
by BritishAmerican Business, Inc., the event is jointly
sponsored by the PA Consulting Group and Stevens Institute
of Technology.
Among the issues on the table:
“Wireless communication is changing the way many organizations operate,” said Curtis.
“Mobile communications enable sales forces to demonstrate products in ways never thought possible; new buildings are designed to maximize wireless connections among employees; hotspots are being used from coffee houses to conference centers and even in outdoor parks and recreation areas. But how will wireless and other new communication technologies impact corporate strategy moving forward? What do companies need to know about the potential for future growth using these technologies? How can companies attain a strategic competitive edge by leveraging wireless communications? These and other questions will be discussed during this session.”
Experts from industry and academia will address some of the major trends impacting global organizations both here and abroad and share their views on the subject. Among those on the panel:
