Next on Technogenesis® TV: The Future of Telecom Today

Industry experts join the president of Stevens for an in-depth look at balancing innovation and regulation to shape tomorrow’s telecommunications industry

HOBOKEN , N.J. – As the desire for immediate information increases, the telecom industry works hard to meet our demanding needs. With the industry moving so fast, government regulators face new challenges to keep up. Is it possible that safety and security are not keeping up with technology? Where should the balance between industry self-regulation and government regulation lie? How will the implementation or lack of regulations effect how we live, communicate and do business?

On the next edition of Technogenesis, Dr. Harold Raveche, the president of Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens), will explore these issues with representatives from the telecommunications industry, and experts in telecom regulation.

Dr. Raveche will be joined by special guests Mr. Jorge Blanco, the vice president of product and solutions marketing in Avaya’s Enterprise Communications Group; Ms. Annabelle B. Canning, the executive director of federal and state tax policy at Verizon Wireless; and Ms. Rebecca Blumenstein, technology editor at the Wall Street Journal. Each guest offers a different perspective and opinion of the future of the telecom industry and government regulation.
