Virginia and Kevin Ruesterholz selected to lead prestigious EAS Society
Stevens names alumni couple to head its top giving organization
HOBOKEN, N.J. - Dr. Harold J. Raveche, President of Stevens Institute of Technology, announced that Virginia P. and Kevin Ruesterholz, two Stevens alumni from Holmdel, N.J., will serve as chairs of The Edwin A. Stevens Society. The couple will lend their experience, expertise, and leadership to steward the society - a network of industry leaders, inventors, business professionals, entrepreneurs and educators who make substantial annual contributions to Stevens.

"With their remarkable achievements, Virginia and Kevin reflect the highest quality of our alumni today. We look forward to what we know will be their outstanding leadership for the EAS Society."
Together, the couple has ample experience coordinating corporate alumni giving campaigns. They have also helped to develop corporate internship positions for students studying management, and they have each volunteered to give lectures in Stevens' classes. Virginia P. Ruesterholz is also a board member for Stevens' Business and Technology ("BizTech") degree program, a unique new program that offers undergraduate degrees in technology management.
Virginia is President of Wholesale Markets for Verizon. This business unit is responsible for serving all telecommunication carriers that utilize Verizon's domestic and international voice and data network. In this position, she is responsible for all sales, marketing, provisioning, and maintenance operations. Prior to her current assignment, Virginia had various senior management positions within Verizon.
She has received numerous awards such as Crain's New York Business "40 under 40" award, New York Women's Agenda Rising Star Award, and the Stevens Honor Award. She received her degree (BE) in chemical engineering from Stevens in 1983, and a master's (MS) in telecommunications management from Polytechnic University in 1988.
Kevin Ruesterholz is Technical Manager of Lucent Technologies Next Generation Network (NGN) Laboratory. This facility is responsible for the demonstration and interoperability testing of multi-vendor voice, data, and wireless networks. In this position, he is responsible for the technical marketing, development and certification testing of the network management portfolio. Prior to his current assignment, Kevin had various management positions in international product management, strategic alliances, and business development.
Kevin received his degree (BE) in chemical engineering from Stevens in 1983, and an MBA in finance from Rutgers in 1989.
Virginia and Kevin reside in Holmdel, N.J. with their two children, Scott and Katie.
