PlasmaSol Corporation appoints new CEO

PlasmaSol Corporation, a Stevens Institute of Technology Technogenesis® company, incubated at the Stevens campus and licensed to commercialize non-thermal plasma technology developed by Stevens scientists, announced today the appointment of Frank M. Shinneman as President and CEO. Shinneman replaces Kurt Kovach who left the company in April to pursue other interests.

Mr. Shinneman, 53, has more than twenty-five years of international experience leading entrepreneurial manufacturing companies. He was the founding president of Nanodyne Incorporated, one of the first nano materials companies, which he later sold to Umicore, one of its strategic partners. Most recently Mr. Shinneman was the interim President and CEO of Moltech Corporation, where he directed the Chapter 11 restructuring of an advanced lithium battery developer and manufacturing subsidiary.

"I am delighted to welcome Frank to PlasmaSol," said Arthur E. Imperatore, Sr., Chairman of the Board of PlasmaSol. "He brings a proven track record of growing successful companies that create value for customers and shareholders."

As President and CEO, Mr. Shinneman will be responsible for commercializing the proven sterilization technology demonstrated by the company. "PlasmaSol has shown tremendous potential to deliver improved medical sterilization systems and to ensure the safety of the second-hand air we breathe at work, in hospitals, planes, cars and other indoor areas," commented Mr. Shinneman. "I'm excited about the broad range of applications for this revolutionary plasma technology and the potential benefits it can offer its customers in the marketplace."
