The Wall Street Technology Association (WSTA) has selected Leslie A. Stevens, Director for the Center for Global Technology Management of the Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology, to sit on the WSTA Advisory/Content Committee for 2003. Her membership became effective in April 2003.
"As a member of the WSTA committee," said Jo Ann Cooper, executive director of the WSTA, "Leslie brings experience and expertise in global technology and from the academic world. Her know-how will help the WSTA develop educational content and added value for its member programs. Leslie will also play a vital role in helping to formulate the WSTA's strategic direction."
Ms. Stevens' sits on the committee with other business leaders such as Tom Jordan of Jordan & Jordan; John Manville of Lehman Brothers, Inc.; James Phillips, First Southwest Company; and Johna Till Johnson of Nemertes Research.
Ms. Stevens is based in the Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute, where Jerry MacArthur Hultin, a former Under Secretary of the Navy, serves as dean.

During 20 years in industry, Ms. Stevens occupied numerous high-level positions in the global telecommunications management field.
From 1995-2000, she served as Network Vice President, Information Management, at AT&T's Network Services Division. Prior to that, Ms. Stevens was Assistant Vice President, Financial Systems Business Unit, at NCR Corporation. In the early 1990s, she served as President of Advanced Decision Support Systems at AT&T Venture Corp., a multimillion-dollar venture business providing decision support and software optimization to the airline industry around the world. She also served in a number of other high-level directorships and managerial positions at AT&T and Bell Labs.
For more than 35 years, the WSTA, a non-profit educational organization, has been a highly-regarded forum for financial technology professionals. Members are accorded opportunities to stay on top of information about current and emerging technologies, best business practices and operational approaches.

Ms. Stevens holds a Master of Science degree in Advanced Management (1984) from Pace University, N.Y., and a Master of Science in Computer and Communication Science (1977) from the University of Michigan.
Stevens is also the recipient of several major honors, including the Business Achievement Award and the Software Excellence Award from AT&T.
