Stevens’ Accelerated Graduate Programs help “re-engineer careers” disrupted by economic downturn

Master’s degree programs can be completed in 12 months

HOBOKEN, N.J. ― New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli reports that 2008 is going to be one of the worst in Wall Street’s employment history. Reports indicate that Wall Street will lose about 225,000 jobs and $6.5 billion in tax revenue.

“The top-flight, high-achiever professionals of the finance industry represent a major constituency in need of career re-engineering, and their typical strong academic and professional profile makes them perfect candidates to return to the halls of higher education to strengthen their credentials – as well as boost their marketability in the increasingly competitive workplace,” according to Dr. Lex McCusker, Dean of Stevens Institute of Technology’s Howe School of Technology Management.

The sudden, urgent need for professional credentials-enhancement has led to a powerful response from The Howe School, which has created a full complement of innovative Accelerated Graduate Programs.

“The Accelerated Graduate Formula provides the unique, New-York-based constituency in the world of finance with master’s degree programs that can be completed in 12 months, via traditional, hybrid and online delivery, in key ‘recession proof’ professional areas,” said McCusker. “Along with other readily available Graduate Programs, such as certificates in Healthcare Leadership and Management, selected students can pursue educational programs that truly offer a positive, progressive career alternative in a changing business environment.”

The Howe Accelerated Graduate Programs include:

- Prestigious Pathways: One-year accelerated Master’s Degree Programs and Specialized Graduate Certificates from one of the most highly respected and renowned business and technology universities in the nation.

- Local and Logical: Attend classes at our Hoboken, New Jersey campus as well as online, either full-time or part-time.

- Useful and User-Friendly: Specially tailored programs for experienced professionals looking for a new career or a direction. Classes start in January 2009.

- Serious Scholarship: Take a major step forward in a promising career in a growing field like Information Systems, Healthcare Management, Telecom Management, Project Management, Professional Communication and Business Administration.

“Career Development and Financial Assistance are available now as you plan that next step in your professional journey,” said McCusker.
