HOBOKEN , N.J. — Frederick Payne, an alumnus of Stevens Institute of Technology’s Project Management program, has joined Ricardo, Inc., a leading independent engineering firm specializing in total vehicle fuel economy and efficiency. Payne, a former BAE Systems executive, will serve as vice president and global director of program management for Ricardo.
Payne joins Ricardo with 27 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industries, along with a history of successful program management and delivery. As vice president and global director, Payne will provide guidance to Ricardo’s global project management community, ensuring effective and appropriate application of the Ricardo Project Life Cycle Process Framework. In addition, he will manage the development of project managers through training and certification programs.
Prior to joining Ricardo, Payne served as corporate director of program management at BAE Systems and represented the company on the Global Corporate Council of the Project Management Institute (PMI). In 2005, Payne was named by the PMI as a Top 50 Power Program Management Leader. In addition to his undergraduate and graduate degrees, Payne holds a Graduate Certificate Degree in Project Management from Stevens’ Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management.
Payne will be based at the Ricardo Detroit Technology Campus in Van Buren, Mich.
