Phillip Dieckow

Born in Texas but a resident of Hoboken since 1980, Phillip Dieckow is a concert pianist, author, concert reviewer and teacher. Founding the Dieckow School of Music in Hoboken in 1990, he has performed in and produced over 100 concerts in the metropolitan area.

Holding a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Webster University and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Eastern New Mexico University, he has studied with Dalies Frantz, Mde. Olga Stroumillo and Harold Zabrack. Since 1990 he has given five solo recitals at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Presenting two Russian-American Youth Festivals for Piano consisting of young artists from the famed Moscow Gnessins Musical Institute and the Dieckow School of music, his influence is international. Represented by students in major universities and conservatories, notably Indiana University, New York University and the Manhattan School of Music - with a former student now on the Manhattan School faculty - his influence is widespread
