James Redcay
A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, James Redcay began his piano studies at the age of nine. He has studied piano with such acclaimed concert pianists as Annie Petit (Paris Conservatory, Curtis Institute) and Donna McHugh (Lehigh University, Illinois University). He has given and taken part in recitals and concerts throughout his career in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
Currently, Redcay is pursuing his bachelors of music in composition and theory at the prestigious New York University, where he studies composition with the critically acclaimed composer, Marc-Antonio Consoli. Recently, Redcay has finished a violin concerto premièred last year, and is currently working on numerous other works for performance and competition. Now living in Hoboken, New Jersey, Redcay also teaches piano and theory through the Dieckow School of Music.
