There are many performing arts organizations at Stevens Institute of
Technology, either under the DeBaun Center for Performing Arts or as
Recognized Student Organizations (RSO´s). These groups allow
students to participate in the performing arts in various ways. In addition,
music courses that lead to a Music Minor or a Music and Technology
Major are offered in the College of Arts and Letters. For more information

Stevens Choir
Meeting on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:45pm-9pm in the Ondrick Music Room, the Choir
performs various types of choral music in concerts at DeBaun Auditorium, at alumni events, and in the

Stevens Jazz Band
Meeting on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-9pm in the Ondrick Music Room, the Jazz Band (pictured
below) performs each semester at DeBaun Auditorium and special events. For more information, e-mail

Stevens Concert Band
Reorganized in 2004, the Concert Band meets on Sunday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm in the Ondrick
Music Room and performs semesterly at DeBaun Auditorium. For more information, e-mail Director

Stevens Orchestra
Under the direction of Beth Cohen the new Stevens Orchestra will be meeting for the first time on
Tuesday, September 15 at 6pm in the Ondrick Music Room. For further details and how to prepare for

String Quartet
Artist-in-Residence Martin Andersen leads our String Quartets. Performing for the first time Spring
2006 in The Great Hall at the S.C. Williams Library, the Quartets meet weekly to practice in the Music

Pep Band
Band Director Jerry Ficeto leads our Pep Band, reorganized in Fall 2006 and performing for various

Brass Ensemble
Organized by Band Director Jerry Ficeto, the Brass Ensemble performs at various events throughout
the season, including Christmas caroling in December with the Stevens Choir. For more information

Woodwind Ensemble
The Woodwind Ensemble usually performs with the Concert Band once per semester. For more

Saxophone Ensemble
The Saxophone Ensemble usually performs with the Concert Band once per semester. For more

Bandwidth
Originally created by Jerry Ficeto, Bandwidth is a smaller ensemble that plays rock standards as well

Student Organizations
OffCenter Comedy Troupe
Created by Stevens Dramatic Society and The Center for the Performing Arts from the interest in comedy
improv, OffCenter Comedy Troupe writes, directs and performs original comedy skits at least once per

Stevens Dramatic Society
The oldest continuous student organization on campus, the Dramatic Society presents one major
production each semester, working on all aspects, from picking the directors and production staff, to
technical production, house management, and performance. For more information, e-mail the Executive

Stevens TECHnique
The mission and goal of Stevens TECHnique is to expose and educate the Stevens community to all the
different styles of dance that exist. They aim to provide a forum for members to share and learn from each
other through a positive and welcoming environment where dancers of all skills can share their passion. All

Theta Alpha Phi
The members of Theta Alpha Phi's New Jersey Alpha Chapter at Stevens Institute of Technology are all
people who have excelled in the theatrical arts while keeping up with the tough academic standards of the
Stevens. The New Jersey Alpha Chapter, the first chapter in New Jersey and the only chapter at a technical
