Stevens Dramatic Society presents The Importance of Being Earnest Thursday-Saturday, November 19-21, 2009 at 8 p.m. Come join the Stevens Dramatic Society as they present their fall 2009 production The Importance of Being Earnest. The play, written by Oscar Wilde, is set in England during the late Victorian era. Its humor drives in part from characters maintaining fictitious identities to escape unwelcome social obligations. It is replete with witty dialogue and satirizes some of the foibles and hypocrisy of late Victorian society. It has proved Wilde's most enduringly popular play. The play is directed by Gerritt Turner and features Stevens students Abel Alvarez, Theresa D'Addio, Spencer Davies, Ben LaGue, Katelyn Masone, Daniel Ready, Katie Ricculli, Hilary Schrauth and Rich Tomasheski.
