Babbio Center Hosts Lohez Foundation Awards Ceremony
The Jérôme Lohez 9/11 Scholarship Foundation celebrated its 2013-14 scholars with dinner, drinks, awards and a round of speeches and recognition, during an evening of celebration at the Stevens Institute of Technology’s Babbio Center on May 1.
The foundation counts several members of Stevens among its board, including the Howe School’s Sharen Glennon, who serves on its scholarship committee.
The Lohez Foundation is the only charitable organization established after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that is dedicated specifically to promoting educational and cultural exchange among the United States, France and China. By providing scholarship awards to multinational graduate students, enabling them to study in one another's homelands, the foundation aims to shape the next generation of global citizens, along with a new class of international policymakers.
