Stevens Commuting Made Easy with CarpoolWorld
Through a new online service called CarpoolWorld, students, faculty and staff at Stevens can now commute more efficiently, preserve the environment and save on transportation expenses.
The newly introduced carpool matching service, which is overseen by the Office of Student Life, is a free online tool that connects commuters who want to carpool to and from Stevens with matches from within the University. The service is also available to coordinate carpools to Cooperative Education assignments, recreational activities, off-campus events or any other destination.
“The goal of CarpoolWorld is to provide easy and convenient car access to all members of the Stevens community,” said Dean of Student Life Ken Nilsen.
CarpoolWorld enables users to search the site for other commuters who want to carpool, with the ability to sort only users who live close to you or have similar schedules and driving preferences. To arrange a carpool, users can email or call each other with a simple click of a button.
