Senator Booker to Host Small Business Forum at Stevens
Hoboken, NJ - U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) in partnership with The Internet Association will host a tech and social innovation for small Business forum on Friday, July 11 at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. The forum will consist of a panel discussion with some of the biggest U.S. technology companies including Facebook, Google, Yelp, and two NJ Small Businesses that use social media to connect with its customers; websignia and CardCash. These powerhouse tech companies will discuss how technology and social media can help New Jersey organizations and companies communicate with their customers, drive traffic, and increase their growth.
As a member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee and the Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet, Senator Booker knows how the internet and new technology can be among the greatest tools for entrepreneurs. Technology has proven time and again to be a ladder for social and economic mobility, and that is particularly true for new businesses trying to put their name on the map. Startups and other small businesses from Silicon Valley to New Jersey are using a range of technical platforms to start and grow their businesses.
This is the sixth forum in a series of discussions designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs. Booker held his first forum on March 14 in Camden, his second on April 11 in New Brunswick, his third on May 16 in Newark, his fourth on June 13 in Newark and his fifth on June 20 in Jersey City.
The event is free, however registration is required.
