Rainer Martini Appointed to European Physical Journal D Editorial Board
Dr. Rainer Martini, Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics, was recently appointed to the European Physical Journal D Editorial Board.
The European Physical Journal (EPJ) is a series of peer-reviewed journals indexed in all major citation databases, and covering the whole spectrum of pure and applied physics, including related interdisciplinary subjects. It is the merger and continuation of seven separate journals, including the Il Nuovo Cimento, Journale de Physique, and the Zeitschrift für Physik, which has been published since 1920. The editorial boards of the EPJ journals consist of distinguished scholars from around the globe who are committed to the highest standards of scientific quality. The boards administer the peer-review process and are responsible for the editorial policies of the journals.
The European Physical Journal D focuses on aspects of Atomic, Molecular, Optical, and Plasma Physics. As a member of the Board of Editors, Martini intends to increase the journal’s visibility in the US and solicit contributions from specialists in fields such as ultrafast lasers, infrared as well as terahertz systems, urging greater publication by American researchers.
