Prof. Morgan's Philosophy of Biology Class Publishes Textbook Review

In the Spring of 2011, Professor Gregory Morgan's HPL367 Philosophy of Biology class used Google Docs to write a collective review of the textbook "Evolution and the Big Questions" by David N. Stamos.  The review was recently accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Evolution: Education and Outreach.

Each student wrote a first draft of a section of the review and also edited a section.  Professor Morgan then revised the writing into a more uniform voice.  The review was positive and the class thought that Stamos successfully showed how “evolutionary thinking” can inform our understanding of many of the deep questions of philosophy and help us understand various features of human nature.
