Nicole Migliore Gains Biopharmaceutical Industry Experience
Nicole Migliore is a 2009 graduate of Stevens with a bachelor’s in BME, a master's in Engineering Management, and a graduate certificate in pharmaceutical manufacturing practices who highly values her experiences in the Stevens Cooperative Education (Co-op) program as an influential factor in her current position.
After originally coming to Stevens with the intention of participating in the co-op because of the "very practical way to develop classroom knowledge into a tangible skill set," Nicole was able to try out various roles related to engineering with an emphasis on biomedical/pharmaceutical industries ranging from early stage development to manufacturing.
These experiences helped develop her interest in her current role at Centocor, a Johnson and Johnson biopharmaceutical company. Nicole currently works as a research engineer in technical support and technical transfer, and feels the co-op office was instrumental in helping her fully develop specific R& D skills as well as forming key industry contacts.
About the Co-op

It is a unique opportunity for students to apply their academic preparation to "real world" situations in business and industry. At Stevens, the co-op program will provide you with the chance to combine classroom study with periods of paid professional employment directly related to your major and career goals.
