Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez Awarded Two Grants from Naval Post Graduate School
Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez, Program Director, graduate Engineering Management program, was awarded two new grants in the amount of $130,000 each by the Naval Post Graduate School. Dr. Ramirez-Marquez was been awarded the grants through the Naval Postgraduate School’s Defense Acquisition Research Program in order to further his research in systems earned readiness management. This funding will allow for the enhancement of fundamental capabilities of assessing system maturity already developed by the SD&ML in order to address some recurring issues to its application.
The grants will support research in the following two areas below:
- Modeling Obsolescence for Affordable and Mature Acquisition Strategies during Sustainment, Naval Postgraduate School, Co-PI with Dr. Brian Sauser (University of North Texas), 2012, $120,000.
- Improved Acquisition for System Sustainment: Multi-objective Sensitivity Analysis for Condition-Based Decision Making, Naval Postgraduate School, Co-PI with Kash Barker (University of Oklahoma), 2012, $120,000.
