DeBaun Center for Performing Arts is proud to present the fifth annual Stevens One Act Festival as the opening its 2013–2014 Theater Series.  The Festival will run for one weekend on September 20 & 21, 2013 at 8 p.m. in DeBaun Auditorium, Edwin A. Stevens Hall, 24 5th Street (corner of Hudson Street), in Hoboken, NJ

This year’s festival is named the Spectacular Extravaganza One Act Festival and is a collaboration between DeBaun Center, Stevens Dramatic Society and Stevens Off Center.  The festival is comprised of three one-act comedies:  two written by established playwright Don Zolidis and one written by Stevens alumnus Christopher Diggins.  All of the one acts are performed and directed by Stevens students and alumni.

The plays include: The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza by Don Zolidis, produced by DeBaun Center and directed by Caroline Amaba ‘12; Roosevelt by Christopher Diggins ‘13, produced by Off Center and directed by Bayindir Citak ‘15; and, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon by Don Zolidis, produced by Stevens Dramatic Society and directed by Colin Gliech ‘15.

DeBaun Center for Performing Arts presents the One Act Festival at Stevens because “there’s a lot of theatrical talent at Stevens that is usually not seen by the general public,” says David Zimmerman, Executive Director.  “We created the One Act Festival to specifically focus on Stevens students.”
