CS Department Seminar: Dr. Andrea Forte (AT&T Security Research Center), EyeDecrypt

Title: EyeDecrypt

Monday, April 7, 2014 ( 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm )

Location: Babbio Center 221

EyeDecrypt is a novel technology for privacy-preserving human-computer interaction. EyeDecrypt allows only authorized users to decipher data shown on a display, such as an electronic screen or printed material; in the former case, the authorized user can then interact with the system (e.g., by pressing buttons on the screen), without revealing the details of the interaction to others who may be watching or to the system itself.

A working prototype of this technology will be shown.

Andrea G. Forte holds both a Masters Degree and Bachelors Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in Italy. He has over ten years of work experience spanning from academia, to startups, to corporate.  He is currently Senior Member of Technical Staff within the Chief Security Office at AT&T Labs.  He serves on a number of conference and journal steering committees, he is active in various standards bodies and holds numerous publications and patents. His expertise covers several fields such as wireless networks, real-time media, location-based services, next-generation networks, Internet of Things and IMS.
