Overall the group was very satisfied with the budget for this project. The majority of the expenses for the project was due to the purchasing the DAQ equipment from National Instrument. Although this equipment was expensive, it is justified by the fact that the department will be able to reuse all of the DAQ equipment. The remaining costs were for the sensors and components necessary to perform all necessary wiring. The miscellaneous components consist of wiring, op-amps, connectors, and other small items the group purchased at Radio Shack. The group feels that a conscious and successful effort was made to produce a prototype while minimizing the overall cost to the department.
