There is growing interest among mathematicians and cryptographers
in cryptosystems based on algebraic problems and in related
cryptanalysis. The purpose of the Consortium is to facilitate
research in these and related areas by
- Creating and maintaining informational infrastructure
(discussion groups, lists of open problems, accounts of recent
progress, instructional materials on the web).
- Arranging cooperative research (collaborative grants, coordinated
plans, joint conferences and workshops, sharing of computational
resources, creating joint libraries of algorithms).
- Training
of graduate students and postdocs (organizing short focused
courses and workshops, creating exchange opportunities, making
collections of research topics for PhD and Master students,
disseminating lecture notes and teaching tools).
