  • Zoom

Zoom is an educational program that airs on PBS.  The cast of children performs educational but fun experiments and encourages viewers to follow along.  The Zoom into Engineering as well as the ZoomSci program parallels the television show.  The program puts engineers and scientists in elementary school classrooms.  They increase awareness of the career field while working though simple experiments with the students.  The exercises are adjusted to be appropriate for different grade levels.  Students are also introduced to the scientific method.  For more information, visit www.zoom.org .

  • Women’s Resource Center

All residents will be required to work four (4) hours a week for the Women’s Resource Center.  This is an opportunity to expand the residents’ research and customer service skills while creating handouts, programs, and support on various women’s issues.

Community-Oriented and Self-Governing Environment

Lore-El residents and staff work as a team to do the following:

  • Care for their home
