About

The LMSI is directed by Prof. Matthew Libera.  It is staffed by one full-time research scientist (Dr. Tsengming (Alex) Chou) and one part-time research scientist (Dr. Berton Greenberg).

The LMSI houses four pieces of major instrumentations - a field-emission S/TEM, a field-emission SEM, a DPN/AFM, and a LSCM, that provide imaging capabilities to study both synthetic and biological materials from macroscopic to microscopic length scale.

The LMSI also provides a vibrant research environment that promotes learning and research activities by offering training classes and seminars within an open and multiuser laboratory space.  Registered LMSI users can also share ideas/activities/scheduling using the collaborative tool provides by Stevens Gateway.
