Library Concert - The Joy of Duet Piano Playing

Please come to the Great Hall of the Library on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 8 p.m. for a concert  “The Joy of Duet Piano Playing”.  The presentation  will feature piano players Hye-Seung Keum and Sojung Lee-Hong.

The program is comprised of music solely created to be played by two people simultaneously on the same piano, or otherwise named 4-hand pieces.  The composers include Beethoven, Karl Hermann Pillney, Brahms, Faure and Ravel.  Keum and Lee-Hong are both accomplished pianists from Korea wishing to present this type of program as it is not presented very often.  Keum is currently an Artist-in-Residence with the College of Arts and Letters here at Stevens until June.  Lee-Hong teaches piano as an Associate Professor at Judson University.
