jobs in the library
spacer

The Library has three departments that depend heavily on student help to provide services to our Stevens community. Each department hires student employees all year long as openings become available, and has specific requirements regarding working hours.

Starting pay for most Library jobs is $9.50 per hour.

Students may not work more than 40 hours per week during the summer (all campus jobs combined) and 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semester.

Stevens now has a central portal for student employment. In order to check for on-campus jobs (including jobs in the library), visit: http://www.stevens.edu/sit/studentemployment/

The Student Employment Office (SEO) works with faculty, the community, and all University departments to create Part-Time Federal Work Study/Community Service and Regular On-Campus Employment. The purpose of the On-Campus Student Employment Program is to promote Part-Time Employment of Undergraduate, Graduate or Professional Students who are in need of earnings to pursue courses of study at Stevens Institute of Technology.

The SEO Wesbite is a resource for job-seeking students. This website will walk Students and Supervisors from the recruitment process all the way through their employment journey.

SEO requires Departments to post job opportunities for students through the Virtual Edge Database by filling out a Requisition. Students may then apply by requesting a password by using their pipeline login.
