I AM AN IMMIGRANT

Are you or your parents from a different country? Has your family ever struggled with receiving citizenship? Do you have a story about coming to America?

Our two keynote speakers, Dream Walkers Gaby Pacheco and Felipe Matos, will share their experiences of walking 1,500 miles from Miami, Florida to Washington D.C. in efforts of bringing attention to an act called the DREAM ACT which would allow undocumented high school students the opportunity of attending an institution of higher education or enroll in the U.S. Military.

Join University Vice President Dr. George P. Korfiatis, faculty, administrators, your fellow classmates and us on Thursday, November 11 in Bissinger at 8:30PM as we spread awareness of immigration to everyone at Stevens Institute of Technology.

We will have a food tasting session where you can try popular dishes from Ecuador as well as learn about them from Stevens Institute of Technology's very own professor of Latino Studies, Professor Dawn Digrius.

In addition, we will have traditional music from Ecuador and show you how to make your very own pan flute as well as how to play it to impress all your friends.
