Wireless interference
From ITwiki
The majority of the Stevens wireless access points around campus operate on the 2.4ghz spectrum. This is a common, unregulated wireless spectrum that is also shared with other electronic devices.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of other devices that also operate on this spectrum, and therefore likely interfere with the Stevens wireless network. You may also refer to Wikipedia's article for more information:
- Microwave ovens
- Bluetooth devices
- Wireless console game controllers
- Xbox 360
- Playstation 3
- Nintendo Wii
- Cordless phones
