Installing the Babbio Printer on Windows Vista
On a Machine With an Updated Version of Pharos or no Pharos Version
1. Map the Network Drive
The folder to map is \\storage01\public\uniprint. For more assistance with this, see the page on Mapping A Network Drive.
2. Install the Drivers
Go Back to the uniprint folder. Double-click on the folder "Babbio B&W." Double-click on the file "Babbio_b&w_SQ."
Hit the install button. This will install the drivers for the new Printer in the Babbio Lobby.
3. Printing
When printing, select "Babbio b&w" from the printers list.
The cost to print is 4cents for each page.
On a Class2009 or Class2010 Laptop
These instructions are for the nw8240 or the nw8440 that already have Pharos 5 installed. See the above instructions if you have already upgraded to Pharos 7 or have not installed it at all.
1. Map the Network Drive

2. Remove Pharos 5
Double-click on the folder "Pharos 5 Removal."
Read the README file, then drag and drop the file "pharos5removal.bat" onto the desktop. Double-click on this file to run it. It will remove Pharos 5 immediately. After it is done, delete the file off your desktop. You will no longer need it.
3. Install the Drivers
Go Back to the uniprint folder. Go Back to the uniprint folder. Double-click on the folder "Babbio B&W." Double-click on the file "Babbio_b&w_SQ."
Hit the install button. This will install the drivers for the new Printer in the Babbio Lobby.
4. Printing
When printing, select "Babbio b&w" from the printers list.
The cost to print is 4cents for each page.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter problems during installation, try installing the printer again. If an error persists or if you have any questions, please contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@stevens.edu or call the Helpdesk at x5500.
