McAfee AntiVirus is the antivirus solution provided with the machines provided by Stevens. There is also an AntiSpyware module that should also be installed to keep your machine safe from malicious software.

Installing and Updating

McAfee AntiVirus

McAfee AntiVirus is located on Storage01 under the MS directory. The latest version is 8.5.0i. Open the folder "McAfee Antivirus 8.5.1 Works with Vista". This version works with Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Run Setup.exe to install. Follow the prompts. Make sure when the install finishes you get the latest updates and run a full system scan as well to check for malware that may be present on your machine.

Scheduling Weekly Scans
