Stevens Research Statistics

We hope that this statistical information regarding contracts and grants will be of interest. This information is based on requests we have received from you and we hope you will find it helpful. However, please note the following:

  1. The contracts/grants awarded for FY 05 may contain “continuation” information from the prior fiscal year. In particular, if a grant or contract was awarded for a multi year period, but each year a proposal is required to obtain that year’s funding, and that proposal is funded, then that award may counted under new awards for the particular fiscal year, the way our system had been set up. However, we are working on rectifying this in our new system.
  2. Award information is different from research “expenditures.” Research expenditures are reflected in the $30.6M research goal achieved, not the amount awarded.
  3. The ITI Centers referenced in the charts are WiNSeC and SINTEL. The centers: CMS, DMI HFM, CES and CIESE are contained in the School of Engineering numbers.
