WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR A NEW JERSEY DRIVER’S LICENSE?
Students or their dependents interested in applying for a New Jersey driver’s license (or a state ID card) should visit the following website:
http://www.dmv.org/nj-new-jersey/dmv-drivers-license.php There you will find information on required documents and procedures as well as a list of Motor Vehicle Commission locations where visa holders are permitted to apply. Be sure to take all your travel and immigration documents with you, including passport, I-20 or DS-2019 forms, and I-94 card.
