Dear Student,
Stevens Institute of Technology is happy to extend an invitation to become reacquainted with members and friends of the Stevens community on our campus, as well as with alumni in your country. The Graduate School, the Alumni Office and the International Student Services Office are bringing our international alumni together to establish alumni chapters overseas, and you are an integral part of the success of this initiative.
Perhaps it has been a while since you have been in touch with Stevens. Allow us to familiarize you with some of our new and exciting endeavors:
- Stevens has reorganized the departments into three schools: The School of Engineering, The School of Applied Sciences and Liberal Arts and The School of Technology Marketing & Management. Each School has the responsibility of providing a foundation of excellence and developing cross disciplinary scholarship and collaboration.
- Stevens has exceeded its $73 million capital campaign objective through the generous contributions made by Stevens alumni, corporations, private foundations, federal and state agencies and friends, and has now reached $100 million!
- Undergraduate Programs will further integrate the essentials of liberal and professional studies to produce students who excel at concepts and quantitative skills.
- Masters Level Programs have strong alliances with business/industry to assess new educational requirements and to provide customized solutions, which assure corporate competitiveness and professional growth.
- Research programs are nationally recognized for faculty research productivity and excellence. This is accomplished by sustaining a strategic focus on select cross-disciplinary areas which receive strong support from business, industry and government.
Our endowment has grown significantly during the past five years as shown on the accompanying chart.
We recognize that our accomplishments and successful programs are largely built upon the skills of our students, and the achievements of our alumni. So a heartfelt thank you.
Now it is our turn to offer you a piece of the success. Through the establishment of an alumni chapter, we are creating a forum for you to meet old friends, make new contacts and learn about exciting new technologies. In other words you can explore new opportunities for professional growth and gain access to the latest information through your renewed relationship with Stevens. We can help you promote your business interests through our alumni literature, or possibly even establish corporate linkages! The possibilities are endless!
